The Balearic Islands have recently become one of Europe’s favorite yacht charter playgrounds. With 300 days of dazzling sunshine, clear blue waters and rugged landscape, they never disappoint. Each island has its own landscape and hidden surprises. The Balearic Islands will reward your sense of history with gothic castles, museums and ancient cobbled streets as well as appeal to your sense of fun a center of Spanish nightlife.

In order to reach the Balearic Islands from Barcelona, Denia or Costa Blanca be prepared for an extremely long sailing day. Denia to Ibiza for example is 60 nautical miles. You may opt to take a quick transfer flight and embark directly from any of the islands. When planning an itinerary of the Balearic Islands, be careful to take into consideration the distances. Many sailors are surprised that the sailing distance between Palma and Ibiza is about 12 hours,approximately 85 nautical miles. Motor yachts, which are quite popular in this region, would take 6 hours.
